It's here: Pillar Version 11
It's that time again. We've been working hard on the latest release, and it's finally ready for athletes to use. Read on for all the newest features and updates.
July has been busy - we've been adding new features and fixing bugs, as well as going live on the app store!
With every update, we're working on making Pillar smoother, slicker and prettier, as well as building up a wide range of valuable training features.
This month's release is all about personalisation. We wanted to make the process of completing training a breeze, so we made several big changes:
- Push planned session to Garmin
- Improved training plan algorithm
- Improved session library and session difficulty progression
- Updated overtraining notifications
- "Time in zone" performance metric added
- New error messages
- Bug Fixes
Push planned workout to Garmin
It's finally here - sending planned sessions to Garmin. You'll now be able to connect Garmin as third party within Pillar, so that when it's time for a session you'll be able to complete it using your Garmin watch or computer. No more recreating sessions in Zwift or Garmin. You can now export and execute directly.
Just head to the calendar tab, select a day to view the session and you'll see a button to 'export to Garmin'.
Improved session library / training plan algorithm
When you create a new training plan, Pillar now takes into account your starting chronic load and suggests better sessions for the beginning of the plan.
"Time in zone" performance metric added
You can now view your 'time in zones' for the week, month and year. This is a useful metric to understand which training zones you have spent most/least time in recently.
To find your time in zone chart, go to the performance tab, tap 'performance analysis' and scroll down.
New error messages
If we encounter an error, you'll now see an explanation of whats gone wrong. The new error messages are for: no internet connection, server maintenance and disruptions to server communication.
If you are already a Pillar user, you will have already received an email to download the newest version of the app and try out the latest features.
