We're thrilled to introduce a new exciting feature that provides you with a real-time estimate of how long it would take you to complete a specific event or course, based on your current physiology. But that's not all, we're also introducing a new priority development areas feature which shows you exactly where you need to focus your training to get the maximum results.
Pillar predicts your fitness improvements as a result of following our training, and gives you insight into how this translates to your event in terms of:
- Fitness level - how much you have improved your overall fitness for the event where 100% represents the fitness required to hit the target time and target improvements. You can see the physiological determinants below for more detail. The fitter you are the faster you will complete the event.
- Work capacity - the amount of PSS required to complete the event and how much work you can do today given your current fitness. You want to build this up so that you have sufficient capacity to complete the event without risking injury. The more capacity you have, the less likely you are to burn out before completing the event or risk large levels of fatigue.
- Estimated completion time - given your current fitness levels and optimal pacing this represents the expected time to complete the event. The target completion time represents you improving your fitness
- These values are updated weekly to show how your fitness has improved to reach your goals
