We understand that fitness assessments may not be the most relaxing part of your training routine, but they are undeniably important for your progress and success as a cyclist.
With this new feature, Pillar now offers an optional fitness test at the beginning of your training journey with us. This test aims to give us a clear understanding of your current physiology and overall fitness level. By assessing your initial fitness, we can better tailor your training program to align with your personal fitness and specific goals. This additional evaluation complements the existing data we collect from your historical training data when you join Pillar. The more comprehensive and accurate the data, the more effective and personalised your training becomes.
But that's not all! We have also incorporated a smart fitness test at the end of each training block, specifically during the recovery week. This test is designed to track the specific determinants that you have been working on in that particular training block. For example, if you have focused on improving your endurance during a specific block, the test will evaluate your aerobic fitness progress. By conducting these tests, we can gauge your progress, determine if you have achieved the intended goal, and identify areas where further improvement may be needed. On the flipside, Pillar isn't here to hold you back! If you have surpassed our expectations and made faster progress than predicted, we can adjust your future training calendar accordingly, ensuring that you continue to challenge yourself and make optimal gains. Rest assured, we'll push you to be at your best!
