The Belgian Champion Wout van Aert wins the final stage to snatch the overall victory of this year's Tour of Britain. Wout van Aert powered his way to stage eight victory ahead of sprinters Andre Grepiel and Mark Cavendish, securing the overall lead and his fourth stage win of the race. British rider Alex Dowsett attacked off the front before the sprint but unfortunately, he was caught by the storming peloton. Despite losing the overall lead on the last stage, Ethan Hayter again showed his big potential all week as he challenged with arguably the world's two top all-rounders in the sport, Julian Alaphilippe and Wout van Aert.
